# MINA MONDAY.
mina: in your darkest hour, in the blackest night, think of me and i will be with you. always. for where else could i go? who else could i love but you?
001 :// mina qote has lived a life full of wanderlust and learning. her early years were spent on the outskirts of pagalthan located within the thanalan desert. her father was a seeker and her mother a keeper, and the two of them were young and in love. origionally shunned by their respective tribes/clans, they ran away together. however, after giving birth to mina they realised that they were ill-prepared to raise a child and left her in the care of the dodo tribe. the tribe welcomed mina in when she was just six months old. the tribe was a fairly traditional tribe and was socially isolated from the rest of the world - only dealing with lone traders that passed by. within the tribe, she grew close to one of the male miqo of a similar age, named cher. mina knew that she was adopted into the tribe, but knew nothing of her parents. 002 :// when mina was 16, she grew increasingly bored of living within the desert and she had a burning desire to learn more about the world. she left and headed to ul'dah. she learned a lot quickly and fell into a ragtag group of rogues. she spent a few years hanging around with them and finding and selling rare trinkets. when she turned 18, she once again grew bored and longed to see more of the world. she left ul'dah with nowhere in particular in mind, she saw many cities and villages along her travels and never spent too long in one place. she loved it, she truly adored it. she learned so much and documented her journeys. 003 :// she eventually found her way to the cold city of ishgard. by this time, she was 20 years old and after her two years of travelling, she wanted to stay put for a while. she hated the cold, it was the opposite of where she came from, but she liked the archetecture. she was sitting in the forgotten knight when she first met hilda. hilda and mina quickly became friends, and hilda showed her the world of machinists. mina was interested and picked up the profession and made, for the first time in her life, a collection of friends. mina very quickly became proficient as a machinist and she used her expertise to build all sorts of machines and weapons. 004 :// as a few years went by, mina became more skilled and her reputation grew and she was held in high regard for her adaptability and her pragmatic way of thinking. the attention on her grew, and she eventually travelled to sharlayan to grow even more. as more years went by, she became a very respected member of the community because of her research towards harvesting aether and repurposing it into weapons. she would often travel to remote places with her light party to research different types of aether and her publications were award winning. mina successfully became an archon and is very well respected. 005 :// because of her prowess around her research and her brilliant aim as a machinist, the scions of the seventh dawn had made contact with her and she would occasionally help them with one of their missions. she was considered to be a friend of the scions, although her own interests would always be her priority over theres. mina would regularly travel back to ul'dah, where she regarded as home, and she met and started a romance with a kind paladin named alwin. they were quickly married. shortly after her wedding, she was preparing to embark on her honeymoon when an overworldly power summoned her to another world. she was alone and terrified with no sight of her new husband. but mina is resilient. she adapted and was determined to overcome this. 006 :// after being sent to the first, she was terrified and was there for three isolated months before she finally re-connected with alwin. mina researched the unending light and the aether differences. it was here that mina's internal echo was realised and she used this to help people that had been affected by the blight. mina learned a lot about how aether worked within the lightwardens and documented her knowledge, focusing on the ability to travel bewteen worlds from unstable aether sources. along with the scions, mina and alwin battled the lightwardens through blood and bruises. once darkness had been returned to the world, mina and alwin travelled back to the source, and were able to have their honeymoon.

mina qote, also know as miss mina, is an independent, quiet and determined young woman. once she has an idea in her head, she will fixate on it until she achieves her goal. mina is slightly withdrawn, she dislikes large crowds and engaging with unfamiliar people as she has little interest in them. she can come across as selfish to many. she keeps her emotions bottled up for the most part, but once she has determined that you are a friend then she will be extremely loyal.mina is, regrettably, the warrior of light*. it is a fate that she despises and all she ever wished was to do was live by her own rules. the burden of saving the lives of others is one that weighs on her mind constantly, and despite her ego, she is petrified of not fufilling her role and letting people get hurt. mina does possess the echo. *in my story, some aspects of MSQ are alteredmina is a little bit awkward, with her way of speaking coming across as blunt as she speaks her mind when asked, and if the conversation is not interesting to her then she will not engage. she is snarky and she is very proud of her academic achievements, which, again, can come across as her having a large ego and could be perceived as being offputting. mina can also be funny in the right circumstances. she is not a straight forward character and it takes time to understand her personality.for most of her adult life mina operated as a machinist, an extremely smart, tenacious and accurate machinist. she is skilled in engineering - she has a pragmatic mind and she adores learning how things work. she has built different types of machines and weapons that focused on harnessing and utilising aether.mina has earned her livelihood in a few different ways, her ability to expertly craft machines has enabled her to fufil commissions for different crafts and weapons. additionally, she has been paid hefty sums of money for reconnaissance and bounty work by using her sharpshooting skills. as time went on and she became more prestigious and recognised for her craft, she began focusing purely on research and she was given money and funding from various archons and lead researchers from sharlayan. she would travel to remote locations for weeks and months at a time to study aether and then report her findings back. she is an estimed and respected researcher. she was granted the status of archon and lead researcher for aether.as time and events went on, mina's dark knight blood was awakened inside of her and she decided to give up her guns and focus on harnessing her newfound power and using her strength and resolve to protect people.mina loves cherry soda.
001 :// after mina had returned from another one and finally enjoyed her honeymoon, she had looked forward to being able to travel across the land once again. her hopes were cut short when she received another call from the scions, but their call was not an ask, it was an order. 002 :// she made her way to Ala Mhigo. The demand for her presence was also extended to her husband, who as a Holy Paladin had proved as a valuable ally many times before. On their journey, Mina never could have imagined the severity of what she would be told when she was reunited with the Scions. A trip to Garlemald…not a place that she wanted to venture to willingly, but she agreed. She immediately requested to her workshop that all of her heavy-duty equipment and weapons be brought to her, and the entourage set off to the distant land. 003 :// the cold air chilled her to her core, she was frightened. mina had faced many opponent and always managed to survive against the odds but this time she was scared. she missed the warmth on her skin. as she travelled further into Garlemald, she saw the blood and destruction increase with frozen bodies scattered along the snow-covered path. she felt ill seeing that some of the machines that she had made had been used for this destruction. once they established camp, mina was briefed on the situation around blasphemies and the upcoming assault. she did what she could to help provide shelter and food to displaced people from either side. 004 :// he camp was quiet for a few days as information was slowly gathered and more people had joined the camp. Mina was admiring a bird in a nearby tree when she heard the noises - the screams and explosions, gunfire and swords slashing. She immediately headed up to a vantage point and could see through her sniper rifle that something was happening to people - they were transforming into terrible beasts. She could see from a distance a group of young people fleeing a building, being chased by a large creature with three heads. It was easy enough for her to shoot the monster from that range, so she did. But her doing so caused the people that were fleeing to stop. They looked upset. Unbeknownst to her she had just killed a friend to the group of fleeing people. They stopped and screamed, she could see more of them start to transform and she panicked. She didn’t know what to do. They were people all of two seconds ago, and now they weren’t. She shot three of them dead and one remained. She watched with her finger on the trigger, hoping that the youngest one didn’t transform. But they did - and she shot them dead too. 005 :// She had never killed innocent people like that before. She had slain her fair share of monsters and people who had committed crimes - but never an innocent group of teenagers. The realisation of what she had done combined with the increasing screams and gunfire from around her made her sink to her knees, ears pinned back and she just sobbed and screamed. She dropped her gun and felt completely hopeless - she didn’t know if she had done the right thing. Mina felt complete despair and she felt that her soul was being ripped in half, almost as if she wasn’t in control of herself anymore. She felt lightheaded and collapsed. alwin tried to make his way across the battlefield to her but when he embraced her, she was cold and limp. her heart was still, and she had avoided turning into a beast by it killing her instead. 006 :// her soul tried to leave her body but all of her pent up rage and hatred throughout her life held it back. all of her pain kept her soul transfixed in place. her blood became warm, and her birthright within had begun to stir. the blood of a dark knight was loud and as it coursed through her body, her heart began to pump. she awoke and screamed, in agony. she was alive; but she was different. the trauma awakened her Dark Knight abilities and her connection to this managed to keep her sane. 007 :// as if second nature, her brain already knew how to be a dark knight and how to harness it's innate blood abilities. it was like she finally felt comfortable as herself for the first time in 30 years. this is who she was. mina was initially disgusted but she adapted, she was so full of hatred that she was determined to prevent the end of the world. she took a greatsword and she already knew how to use it. embracing her new found skills, she accepted that she was now a dark knight. like it or not. 008 :// mina used her new powers to prevent the end of the world by using a combined effort from her fellow scions and archons. she was able to travel to the edge of the earth to battle metion. she had finally arrived at the final battle place in front of zenos and her rage overtook her. she was not controlling herself, her body just simply moved. she was able to summon her living shadow to deliver the final blow. 009 :// mina accepted death, but the love of her friends brought her home. when she had returned back and spent a month recovering, she helped nidhana distribute tempered cures to those who needed it. mina decided that hang up her metephorical hat and leave the spotlight for a while. she needed some time to understand her new self, but she had vowed to not pick up a gun again.to be continued...
